The goal was never software. It was better care.
Sophi was created in partnership with Care Around the Block (CAB), a caregiving and care management company based in Knoxville, TN. After 15 years in business and four different software platforms, CAB was tired of searching for the perfect solution. There were products for care management and caregiving, but nothing that integrated the two seamlessly. So CAB built their own solution from the ground up, with a team of engineers guided closely by CAB's own operations team. Sophi went live in November 2025, and CAB has used it daily ever since.

Abigail's path into home care started with family ties, but she quickly fell in love with the work itself. She has over 10 years of industry experience, a Masters of Business Administration, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Gerontology, driven by a belief that the best solutions are grounded in research and evidence, not just anecdotal experience. She loves solving problems, and in an industry rife with challenges, that means she never gets bored. She genuinely enjoys coming to work each day to build the systems, processes, and technology that support her team.
Jeffrey Polakiewicz
Senior Engineer - Sophi, LLC
Jeff brings 15 years of software engineering and architecture experience across a range of industries, including five years at healthcare product companies. An expert in systems design and cloud architecture, he's driven by solving real problems, and building software that makes people's lives better.
Soph is the Greek root for wisdom - a small nod to the knowledge that comes from a long life well-lived, in a world that often overlooks it.
